History

Central Baptist Church was organized September 12, 1906 and began its humble beginnings in the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.G. Musgrove. The church has grown constantly over the past 96 years. In the fall of 2003 the church moved from its place in the downtown Jacksonville area out to a new 33 acre site located 3 miles east of town.

Original Location
The church spent the greatest portion of it's first 100 years at the 402 S. Main location. The church grew and flourished in downtown Jacksonville.

New Location
In September, 2003 the church completed relocation to its present site. The church body is looking forward to many exciting days ahead at the new 1909 Rusk Street location!

New Birth
The new facilities were a blessing to the people of Central. Members prayed and gave sacrificially to a successful building campaign. steeple-being-placed The project had been many years in the making and is now a reality for the Central
Baptist family!!
